Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether and a critical additive for cement and gypsum-based construction mixes. The primary function of HPMC is water retention, preventing premature drying of the mortar and ensuring complete cement hydration. This is crucial for thin-layer applications (putties, tile adhesives), allowing the worker extended time to manipulate the material ('open time'). HPMC also acts as a powerful thickener, providing plasticity, thixotropy, and slip resistance (tiles do not slide down the wall). We offer grades with various viscosities (from 45,000 to 200,000 mPas) for different applications, from self-leveling floors to facade glues. The product is chemically neutral and compatible with other additives.
