Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is an organic binder based on a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer, produced by spray drying. It is a key modifier for modern dry construction mixes. Upon mixing with water, the powder 'redisperses,' forming a polymer film that reinforces the cement matrix. RDP significantly improves adhesion (bonding) to the substrate, flexibility (resistance to deformation), and water resistance. It is indispensable in the production of tile adhesives (classes C1 and C2), thermal insulation systems (ETICS), self-leveling floors, repair mortars, and facade putties. The use of RDP allows for the creation of thin-layer mortars that do not crack upon drying and withstand temperature fluctuations.
