Anion Resin 17-8 is a strong base ion exchange resin with a gel structure (copolymer of styrene and divinylbenzene). It appears as spherical beads ranging from light yellow to brown. Designed for deep water demineralization when paired with a cation resin. The anion resin effectively removes strong and weak acid anions (chlorides, sulfates, nitrates, carbonates, silicates) from water, exchanging them for hydroxyl ions (OH-). Widely used in power plants (TPP) and boiler houses to prepare make-up water for high-pressure boilers requiring high purity and low conductivity. Also used in the electronic and pharmaceutical industries to produce ultra-pure water. The resin features high exchange capacity, mechanical strength, and osmotic stability. Regenerated with Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH).
