Cation Resin KU-2-8

Cation Resin KU-2-8 is a strong acid gel-type ion exchange resin, the most popular material for water treatment in CIS countries. The product appears as golden-yellow spherical beads. Its primary use is water softening and demineralization. During softening (Na-cationization), the resin extracts hardness ions (calcium and magnesium) from the water, replacing them with sodium ions, preventing scale formation in heat exchange equipment. KU-2-8 is characterized by high chemical resistance to acids and alkalis, mechanical strength, and thermal stability (up to 120°C). Widely applied in industrial and household water softeners, boiler houses, power plants, and in hydrometallurgy for recovering non-ferrous metals. Easily regenerated with common salt solution (NaCl).
